About This Video

In this episode of The Fantom Podcast, I break down the 2024 IFBB Pittsburgh Pro guest posedown and what it tells us heading into the New York Pro. I talk through the decision to have Classic Physique guys (Z vs Ramon) share the stage with the Open boys, and honestly I think it’s a good call—doesn’t take away from anything and it probably sells more tickets. Z looked like he’d basically just kept dieting from the Arnold, carrying more density and staying tight, while Ramon looked softer in comparison, like he’s in that off-cycle/offseason phase. Then I get into the Men’s Open guest posers: Hunter Labrada, Samson Dauda, Andrew Jacked, Martin Fitzwater, Nick Walker, and Derek Lunsford. Hunter looked absolutely humongous (cap and all), Samson still looks massive even in an off phase, and Andrew is just wide as a house in person—videos don’t do him justice. I’m a Martin fanboy and I thought he fit in really well next to Derek considering he’s still young and coming into his Olympia debut. The big question is Nick Walker for the New York Pro. Size-wise he’s a house and his back is phenomenal, but I’m watching that midsection and how he controls it between poses and transitions. If he tightens that up and comes in sharper, he’s a front runner—most likely him vs Martin for the win.
