Typically, the Airbnb website and app display Request Money and Send Money buttons for hosts to complete these tasks easily. Unfortunately, these buttons may not always be available on the Airbnb website and app. Such occurrences are somewhat unpredictable. When it occurs, hosts need to use alternative methods to complete the task. Solution: If you cannot find the Request Money or Send Money buttons, you need to file a request or send money via the Airbnb Resolution Center. To do this on a PC, first copy the confirmation code of the related booking. Then, click or enter the following URL in a web browser: https://www.airbnb.com/resolutions This specialized Airbnb page will display the Request Money and Send Money buttons. Choose one, then paste the confirmation code in the next prompt. The subsequent steps are self-explanatory, following the step-by-step prompts. Once a Resolution Center case is submitted by the host, the guest will receive a notification in their Airbnb message box and the email connected to their Airbnb account. Accessing the Resolution Center on the Airbnb app is not straightforward. If the Send or Request Money button is missing on the app, it can be cumbersome to enter the Resolution Center URL in your Google or Safari app each time. A workaround is to create a Quick Reply message like “00 Resolution Center”. You can send this Quick Reply in the message box of the related guest, then click the link and paste the confirmation code at the appropriate prompt box. However, the Airbnb app does not allow you to copy the confirmation code. Therefore, when the Send or Request Money button is missing, the host may need to use a PC to file the request. Airbnb has not streamlined or improved its Resolution Center, and this specialized webpage is prone to errors. Generally, it is advisable to use a PC for Request Money or Send Money transactions. Note that most pre-made Request Money transactions are easy to file. Request Money for extra cleaning or property damage will require require more photo documentation.
