About This Video

I’ve got a good old-fashioned Ulta haul and a full get-ready-with-me using brand new makeup launches (and a few newer-to-me products) — all paid for with my birthday coupon, some points, and a little “oops, how did my cart get this big?” energy. I test everything as I go: Morphe’s priming cream eyeshadow (very paint-pot-dupe vibes), a Huda Beauty Cool Matte Obsessions palette for a pink/plum/mauve matte look, Dibs’ dual-ended primer + mascara, the swirly Fenty Grip Trip Mattifying Blurring Primer (because the packaging called to me), LA Girl lip liners, and the L’Oréal Infallible Blurfection pink loose powder. The big takeaways: the Huda palette is seriously pigmented and I’m weirdly obsessed with an all-matte look right now — it’s giving pink plum mauve in the best way. The Morphe priming cream eyeshadow is creamy and does the bright-lid thing, but it dries quickly so you have to work fast. The Dibs mascara looks gorgeous with two coats (TBD on flaking), and the L’Oréal pink powder does blur, but on my dry situation that day it looked a bit dry — I need to retry it with a glowier foundation. And yes, I’m still side-eyeing my own choices: that foundation + that primer combo? Don’t do what I did.
