In this video I’m trying on and swatching the QVC exclusive tarte Maneater lipstick + plumping gloss duos. I kept getting served the ad on Facebook, my curiosity got me, and next thing you know the quad was in my hands. It’s a four-pack of very wearable mauve and berry tones (with matching glosses), and I couldn’t even find this exact set on the tarte website—so it really does seem like a QVC thing. It was $39.98 on sale from $48 when I bought it, and it was showing low inventory. I swatch every shade on my lips and on my hand, both with and without the gloss, and then I do side-by-side swatches so you can see the differences. The shades are Passion, Moody, Playful, and Desire—and yes, they’re in the same family, but there is variation (some lean more berry, some more peach). The lipsticks feel creamy and comfortable, and the plumping gloss surprised me in the best way: it didn’t tingle or burn, and it wasn’t sticky. I ended up wearing Passion and I think it’s my favorite, but I really want you to tell me which one you think looked best on me.
