About This Video

Hey guys, it’s Sharon, and this is week two of my October cash stuffing—$390 into my binders and my wallet. I’m still very much on the beginner budgeting side of things, and I’m totally okay with this being a “smaller” stuffing compared to what you might see other creators do. With how we pay our big bills (mortgage, utilities, subscriptions) electronically, my cash envelopes are for the stuff I can actually control week-to-week: groceries, household items, eating out, and sinking funds like car maintenance, property taxes, and holidays. In this stuffing, I walk you through my cash breakdown, what I had left in my wallet after the week, and even a quick little Facebook Marketplace sale that added extra money back into my categories. I only stuffed $20 for groceries because I did a Walmart delivery and planned it in my budget, and I put cash toward things like household, restaurants, and my “kids” bucket because I’m already thinking ahead to needing a babysitter in November. I also added to property taxes (because December is coming fast), vacation (I’m saving aggressively for a spa trip), and Halloween candy (because candy is expensive). And yes—I’m keeping it real: sometimes I’m like “I don’t know what I’m doing, you guys,” but I’m making a system that works for me.
