Welcome back to a realistic evening with me as a SAHM of 2 while I’m solo parenting—aka what it really looks like after 5PM when the timing is just… off. We start with our evening walk/bike ride (we’re literally in between bike sizes right now), then I come home to throw together a cozy dinner: a creamy sausage orzo situation with spinach, broth, and heavy cream. It was one of the latest dinners we’ve done, but both girls’ naps were all over the place, so we just rolled with it. After dinner, I’m keeping it real—my usual 5–10 minute kitchen clean up didn’t happen because it was already late and we still had bath/bedtime to do. I share little mom-life things like Blakeley’s tiny new sippy cup (Brecklin immediately wanted it too), my current “high chair” setup, and a few thrift finds I was way too excited about (pink Adidas for $17?!). Then it’s pajamas, brushing teeth, milk (yes, we’re back to the bottle for milk because I’m not fighting it), vitamins/gas drops for Blakeley, prayers, and finally my own wind-down while nursing—plus a Barbell protein bar because mama is tired.
