Hey girlll—today I did a full face of ALL new (and very viral) makeup launches to see what’s actually worth it and what’s just over-hyped. I started by prepping my skin with the Danessa Myricks Yummy Skin Barrier Boost Serum (cooling, no fragrance, super hydrating) and tried a SheGlam primer that surprised me because it blurred without feeling greasy. Then I tested the Polite Society bronzing serum (smells like coconut vacation vibes) and it gave more of a glowy warmth than a true bronze on my skin tone—still cute for a fresh summer face. From there I played with the Morphe Cheek Thrills bronzer palette (the cream was honestly good, but the powder is pigmented so tread lightly), and I tried the Makeup by Mario Jelly Jar for cheeks/lips which gave me that glossy, glass-skin vibe without being too pigmented. But y’all… the Makeup Revolution Powder Pops under my eyes? Not my vibe at all—it showed texture and I could tell right away it wasn’t giving what I need. Then I went a little too heavy with the Polite Society glaze mist and it made me look extra glowy/greasy, so the combo low key ruined my base. I kept it real: this was one of the worst makeup days I’ve had on camera, and I’m fine admitting it. My main favorites were the Danessa serum for prep and the limited-edition Fenty highlighters because they’re that-girl, chunky-glitter, eccentric in the best way.
