In this video I’m rating the most viral holiday 2025 beauty advent calendars and telling y’all straight up which ones are actually worth your money—and which ones feel like a scam. I wanted a real mix of budgets, from around $20 all the way up into the $200-ish range, because everybody’s holiday shopping looks different. And yes, I was in my pajama era while filming (cute red-and-white set), plus I’m on my new Canon EOS R50V, so the setup is giving new era. I start with the $20 Target MCoBeauty 12-day calendar, and honestly… it was a miss for me. There were a couple wins (their setting spray dupe is good, the peptide lip treatment is one of my favorites, and the grip primer is solid), but then they threw in stuff like a tiny puff and a messed-up sponge, plus repeated bronzing drops. I rated it a 5/10. Then I tested the Beauty Creations Candyland 12-day calendar ($49) and it was cuter and better overall, but it leaned super “kid-ish” and a lot of it wasn’t my personal style—though the lashes and brushes were a win. I gave it a 6/10. After that, I went through the Revolution Beauty 24-day calendar ($65) and y’all… it had some great lip/liner moments, but also too many filler items (mirror, mini blender, finger sponges) and shade inclusivity was not giving for deeper skin tones. I rated it a 7/10 and kept it real about what brands need to do better.
