The PLS in Spanish takes you on a journey, that's for sure. I think one of the things that bothers me about the PLS is that I have to switch between the easel and the manipulatives so much. It's not hard for me to transition, but for many of my students it really is challenging. They want to play with the toys and not go back to looking at pictures! Who can blame them? I also know that a lot of SLPs don't like the PLS but I actually have found it to be useful. It's not right for every student, but it can be really helpful certain students because I can get them to show me a few skills. In this video I do a walkthrough of the assessment, specifically focusing on the protocol itself.
