About This Video

Hey all you recycling lovers out there—today I turned broken old plastic chairs into an outdoor coffee/tea table set that honestly looks like it belongs at a fancy resort. I start by cutting off the chair legs and trimming part of the seat, then I use simple brick molds to cast new cement legs. I reinforce everything with steel wire so the chairs come out rock solid, then I set the chair frames right into the fresh cement so they lock in as one strong piece. After that, I build the table: I sketch the shape, line the mold with a sheet of aluminum, pour cement, and add more steel wire for strength. The pedestal is my favorite part—I coat it in cement and sculpt it like a tree trunk, then I cast V-shaped support legs in brick molds and let them dry for 24 hours before demolding. To finish, I smooth everything, add a cement-water coat for a polished look, and paint the whole set with layered colors (white base, ocean blue, rustic brown, stone gray, and orange highlights). The tabletop gets hand-painted wood grain, then I decorate with tiger stones, gravel, and moss—like a mini zen garden right on the table.
