In this video I build a peaceful 2-in-1 aquarium diorama that feels like a little vintage house from childhood—made from cement, wood, and recycled materials. I start by clearing the work area, marking the blueprint, and building a strong foundation with earth and a smooth cement pour. Then I shape the walls, run the electrical wiring, add rebar for the ceiling, and pour the columns and roof slab. After the cement cures, I plaster inside and outside, craft a tile-textured floor, and paint the interior warm gold with a rustic gray floor for that cozy, nostalgic look. Next I create the yard and the U-shaped aquarium, build the tank walls, and apply a careful waterproof coating. I add a filtration system, drill the necessary holes, build steps, gate posts, and a wooden fence, then upcycle an aluminum sheet into a cute bridge reinforced with cement and rebar. For the waterfall, I use clay jars, drill holes, and add small pipes to make water spouts. After painting everything in warm, storybook colors, I install the pump, cure the tank for 5 days, and use my favorite folk trick—banana stalks in the water—to help neutralize cement toxins faster. Finally I add ceramic filter media, gravel, plants, and release the fish to finish a build that’s not just cement… it’s love and memories.
