About This Video

Today me and dad are on a little rescue mission—saving an abandoned garden corner and turning it into a relaxing backyard waterfall aquarium. I show the whole build step by step, starting with shaping the pond area, smoothing the inner wall with cement, and building up the edge and bottom so everything feels clean and solid. This is also the fun creative moment where you can choose your vibe: circle aquarium, square aquarium, or even a heart-shaped aquarium. After the base is ready, dad sculpts big “river pebbles” from cement (honestly, they look like real rocks), then we build the waterfall by setting a pipe and stacking the stream with more cement and stones. Once the rough build is done, we dress it up with paint—deep mysterious blue first, then highlights of white, mossy green, orange, and yellow to make every stone pop. On top, I add a little clay jar with the pipe threaded through it, install the pump, and do a 3-day soak to flush out that cement smell. Then it’s fresh water, real gravel, filter media in the jar for cleaner flow, some greenery for vibes… and the best moment: releasing the fish. Close your eyes and it feels like a crystal-clear forest stream in your own backyard.
