About This Video

What’s up, DIY fam? In this video I turn a mysterious little corner of my yard into an awesome pebble-powered waterfall aquarium—using simple materials and a clear step-by-step build. I start by clearing the area, sketching the aquarium shape, and digging out the soil to prep the mold. Then I build the walls with half bricks, coat the inside with cement, and shape the waterfall with a smooth cement layer after setting up the piping at the base. For the décor, I reuse garden pebbles to tile the outside and part of the waterfall, and I even use a clay flower pot to help form the waterfall feature. After painting (bold red on the wooden wall, then sky blue and mint green on the waterfall), I install the pump and fill the tank all the way to the top. I let it soak for 5 days, drain and scrub it clean, then add ceramic filters to keep the water crystal clear. Finally, I lay gravel, add cute little waterlilies, and gently release the fish—bringing that soft, fresh, vibrant life right into the backyard.
