About This Video

In this video I’m checking out the Nooie Indoor 1080p smart camera, and I walk you through the full setup from start to finish. Nooie makes a bunch of smart home stuff (bulbs, indoor/outdoor cams, even a doorbell), but this one is the cheaper indoor option at around $40. I unbox it, show you what you get in the box (power brick, USB cable, and a simple magnetic mounting plate), and I go over the design—honestly it’s not ugly at all, and it fits in nicely whether you put it on a desk, a wall, or even the ceiling. After powering it up, I show how I set it up in the Nooie app using the QR code pairing. You’ll need an account (it’s free), and during setup you’ll want to connect on 2.4GHz Wi‑Fi. Inside the app, I go through the key settings like night vision (auto), motion and sound detection with sensitivity levels, two-way audio, and storage options (microSD local storage or cloud subscription). Then I link it to Google Home so I can say “Hey Google, show living room camera” and stream the live view to a Chromecast/Google display. Google Home is mainly for viewing/streaming, while the Nooie app is where you change the real settings. For the price, the video quality is decent and the features are genuinely solid.
