About This Video

Hey guys, Luxsaan here. In this video I’m checking out the Twinkly Christmas Tree Lights (2nd gen) because Christmas is just around the corner and I’ve been eyeing these for years. I picked up the 400 LED RGB + White string (the expensive one) and yeah… it can hit around $200, which is honestly crazy money for Christmas lights. But I wanted to see if all the smart features and effects actually make it worth it, especially compared to normal $20–$30 string lights. I unbox everything, show the packaging (which is actually really nice at this price point), and then set it up using the Twinkly app over Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth (2.4GHz Wi‑Fi required). The big highlight is the mapping feature—using my phone camera to scan the tree so the app knows where every LED is. After that, I test a bunch of effects like rainbow, sunset, and darker ambient looks, plus I show how you can literally “paint” your own custom design and add sparkles. I also connect it to Google Home and Apple HomeKit/HomePod. You can easily turn the tree on/off with voice and in HomeKit you get basic color control, but most of the cool stuff still lives in the Twinkly app. Overall, it’s expensive, but the features are on another level and it’s 100% a talking point when people walk in.
