In this video I unbox the brand new 15-inch M3 MacBook Air in Midnight and walk you through what’s actually new (and what isn’t). Apple surprised everyone with this refresh, and while the unboxing experience is basically the same, the Midnight colour is the real highlight—especially with the new anodization process that’s meant to reduce the fingerprint-magnet problem from the M2. I also show the colour-matched braided MagSafe cable, the paperwork and stickers, and I went for the optional 70W charger for faster top-ups. After a couple of weeks with the machine, I break down the design, ports, display, and performance. The 15.3-inch Liquid Retina panel looks crisp and sharp, hits up to 500 nits, and overall it’s just a pleasure to use—especially if you’re working outdoors. I picked the base model (8-core CPU/GPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB), and even then, editing in Premiere Pro felt seamless thanks to the M3. My main advice: upgrade RAM to at least 16GB if you’re doing heavier work, and don’t overpay for Apple storage—an external SSD is the smarter move. If you’re already on M1 or M2 and it’s meeting your needs, there’s no urgent reason to upgrade.
