About This Video

I’m at the China VR/AR Expo 2025 in Shanghai, and I’m walking you through the coolest stuff I found—both actual products and the wild “you can only try it here” experiences. There were a ton of smart glasses this year (a lot of them clearly going after that Ray-Ban Meta vibe), but a few stood out hard: Rocket Glasses with a hidden double HUD you can only see from the inside, and the IMO smart glasses that basically put a full-color screen in your face and use a ring for control. I’m telling you right now, this category is getting serious, even if the weight and interaction still aren’t quite “replace your phone” ready yet. On the VR side, I checked out Sony’s tiny dance/exercise trackers (cool, but not Meta Quest-ready yet), the refined Play For Dream VR, and some genuinely freaky simulator/expo demos—especially that 360-motion chair that nearly ended me on a roller coaster run. I also tried VR gloves that finally have solid tracking (even if the joystick/button layout needs work). And yeah, I bring up the Slam Cam XCam again because immersive video needs a more affordable, one-touch option—and this is the closest thing I’ve seen to a market shake-up.
