About This Video

About six years ago I reviewed my first electric skateboard (the Maxfind Max 2), and since then Maxfind has been pumping out longboards… but not a proper shortboard. So in this video I’m finally back on a real short deck with the Maxfind Cyber Mini X Pro (yeah, that whole name), and I walk you through a quick unboxing, the design, and then the real-world ride impressions after actually putting miles on it (so yes, it’s dirty). Design-wise, this board has a very “Maxfind” personality: high-quality plastic that looks classy (not fake carbon fiber), ambient LED strips, braking lights, reflectors on the motor covers, a flexible nose guard, and a grip tape that’s soft enough that I can run my hand over it without bleeding. Performance-wise, it’s a weird mix in a good and bad way: it’s a heavy shortboard with a higher center of gravity, but it’s also insanely fast and has crazy range for the size. I did around 15 km and only dropped two bars, so for a 100 kg aggressive rider like me, 30–35 km is totally realistic. I also talk about the big 97mm wheels (surprisingly not soft), how grippy they are even on wet roads, the stability vs nimbleness, the wheel bite/foot clearance issues, the remote (smooth wheel, motor detection), and the app that makes tuning settings way easier.
