In this video, I review the 6.5mm f/2 APS-C Fisheye Lens, available for multiple mounts including Sony E, Fujifilm X, Canon RF, Micro Four Thirds, and Nikon Z. About This Video

In this video I review the AstrHori 6.5mm f/2 APS-C circular fisheye on my Canon EOS R6 Mark II (RF mount). It’s a wild little lens that gives you a full circular image with a massive 192° field of view—so wide it’s basically shooting behind you. I go over the unboxing (honestly premium for the price), the all-metal build, and my favorite detail: that redesigned screw-in metal cap that actually locks in place and doesn’t randomly fall off in your bag. I also show how I shoot with a circular fisheye in the real world, because you’ll absolutely get your hands, body, or feet in the frame if you hold it like a normal lens. I share a couple simple grip tips, then talk image results: at f/2 I didn’t see chromatic aberration, sharpness is solid, and stopping down gets you a bit more. This isn’t a “get paid work done” lens for me (events/product photography), but it’s an easy, lightweight, affordable creative tool that makes images people don’t see every day—especially in an era where everything is starting to look the same.
