About This Video

In this video I’m reviewing the Synco Xview M4 (X1M4) wireless monitor and putting it head-to-head with the Shimbol CP5 Lite, because I’ve been using the CP5 Lite for a while and I wanted to see if this cheaper Synco option actually makes sense. I do a quick unboxing, show you what’s in the box (including the magnetic ring adapter and USB-C cable), and then I walk through the physical build: magnets on the back, a big logo I’m not a fan of, a big chin, speakers on the bottom, USB-C, and a proper hard on/off switch. Then I get into real-world use with my iPhone 15 Pro—screen mirroring, framing shots, and how these monitors actually fit into a mobile filming workflow. The Synco gives you a bigger screen and speakers, which is a big deal for me because I like being able to quickly playback and hear what I said without disconnecting. The Shimbol CP5 Lite feels more premium with its aluminum body and it’s smaller and more pocketable, plus it fits MagSafe better—while the Synco needs a MagSafe case/adapter and can clash with some camera bump designs. My takeaway: the Synco is affordable and super practical for YouTube/vlogging framing, even if the color accuracy isn’t great, and I’d absolutely recommend it for the price.
