You get that thock plus a metallic ping/reverb that plastic keycaps simply can’t do (think bullets bouncing off Superman’s chest). I also love that they’re made from recycled metal, which earns big points from me for the environmentally-friendly approach. I do cover a few quirks—like a couple looser-fitting caps and some wobble on heavier keys—plus my spacebar occasionally sticking, which I’d solve with a higher actuation force switch. Overall, it’s a premium transformation at a relatively accessible price, and Satin Gold in particular screams: “I’m expensive, I’m worth it.”
