In this video, I walk you through exactly how to fulfill orders on Shopify, and I break it down into the two scenarios you’ll actually deal with: fulfilling your own products (regular orders) versus fulfilling dropshipped products through a third-party supplier. I placed two sample orders so you can see both workflows inside Shopify, including where to find the order timeline, how to check the fraud analysis recommendation, and where key actions live (like editing, duplicating, and printing packing slips). For regular orders, I show you how to fulfill items manually by adding the shipping carrier and tracking number (or a tracking URL if your carrier isn’t listed), and how to choose whether Shopify notifies the customer. I also point out that even after fulfillment, you still have options for refunds and returns. For dropshipping, I use CJ Dropshipping as the example: instead of packaging yourself, you request fulfillment, optionally send the packing slip to keep branding consistent, then complete the flow inside CJ by selecting shipping methods, adding to “orders picking,” and submitting payment so the supplier can ship. I also cover what to do when an order is marked fulfilled but the customer claims it never arrived, and why automation inside your supplier app settings can save you a ton of manual work.
