In this video, I do a full Shopify Starter Plan tutorial and review for 2024, so you can decide if this is the right plan to launch your first store. I walk you through creating a Shopify account, answering Shopify’s setup prompts, and selecting the Starter plan (normally $5/month). I also show you what’s included—things like inventory across multiple locations, 24/7 support, marketing automation, built-in POS, standard analytics, abandoned cart recovery, gift cards, discount codes, free SSL, and the transaction fee setup—so you’re not guessing what you’re paying for. Then I go step-by-step through the actual store setup: adding a product (title, media, pricing, compare-at price, cost/profit margin, inventory tracking, weight for shipping, and variants like color). I also show how Shopify’s built-in AI can generate product descriptions with different tones. After that, I brand the store by adding a logo, colors, and social links, set up Shopify Payments and your bank payout info, review shipping and delivery settings, and customize the website using a free theme (I’m using Taste). Finally, I cover domains—connecting an existing one or buying a new one—so you can launch with a real URL. My takeaway: the Starter plan is simple, cheap, and packed with beginner-friendly features, and you can always upgrade later as you scale.
