In this tutorial, I show you two simple ways to add a GIF to your Shopify product page—no complicated theme edits needed. First, I go to Online Store → Customize, open the Default product template, then scroll down and hit Add section. From there, I add a Custom liquid section and paste in an embed code from GIPHY (I grab it by clicking Embed and then Copy code). As soon as you paste it, the GIF shows up right on the product page. I also cover a quick cleanup tip: if your embed adds a “via GIPHY” line underneath, you can remove it by cutting out those lines from the liquid code. After that, you can adjust padding so the GIF sits exactly where you want (I usually set it to no padding for a clean look). Finally, I show an alternative method by adding the GIF directly inside the product description: Products → open your product → Edit → Description → Show HTML → paste the embed code → Save. That’s it—your GIF will appear inside the description section.
