So here's what I have been up to. I planned to make this DIY Acoustic Sound Absorption Panel project 3 years ago. The Rockwool was just sitting there for a long time. Finally, I found time to do it during the Circuit Breaker (aka Singapore's lockdown) period. Some parts were shot one day before shutdown. I just took whatever parts I could source for the little time that I have and make do. I really wanted that framed sound panel look but I did not want it to be heavier so here's the end result. I went for 3Ft x 4ft to cover my corner space. I feel 2x4 is an awkward size for my drums space. And I wished I could've gone with plywood instead of cardboard to hold the fabric in, but still, I think it turned out OK. For those who don’t know. These sound panels are mainly to control room reverb and NOT for sound proofing. 👌🏽 And if you are in Singapore like me here's where I got parts: Rockwool - Renostop (I got mine from my buddy Raf of AnaDigi Sound Lab Singapore. Thanks bro!! 🙏🏽) Wood - Ban Heng Long (you can have them cut to your requirements) Staple gun, hooks etc - Ban Heng Long or any hardware store Fabric - IKEA baby!! 😂 Black is called Ditte sold by the meter. And grey I forgot, extra curtain fabric I got laying around.
