What’s going on everyone—Paul here. In this video I’m unboxing and setting up the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra in the online-exclusive Silver Shadow, which I’m already nicknaming “shady silver”. I went direct with Samsung this year (it’s just the way forward for me), managed to get a bit of a discount, and because I pre-ordered I got bumped up to the 512GB model instead of 256GB. First impressions on the colour: it looks absolutely fantastic. After the unboxing, I run through the initial setup—Wi‑Fi, signing in, restoring a backup (coming over from my Fold 7), and getting the basics in place so it’s ready to be my daily phone. I also point out a couple of setup bits I’m not a massive fan of, but overall it’s straightforward and I’m happy it drops straight into dark mode, exactly how I like it. Even with the new “privacy pro” screen, I’m still sticking a protector on—but not a privacy one this year, even though I’m basically the king of privacy protectors on this channel.
