In this video I’m carrying on with my Samsung S26 Ultra accessory run, trying to get you guys a case video a day so you can see what’s actually worth buying. This time it’s Samsung’s official Silicone Magnet Case (I went for black), and straight out the box my first impression was: it feels really good in the hand, with a harder back and softer TPU-style sides and buttons. It weighs 36g on its own, and 260g with my S26 Ultra inside, which really isn’t too bad. I go over the protection properly as well. The cameras sit nicely recessed inside the housing, and there’s a big lip all the way around the display—on my phone it sits above my screen protector, so you can place it down without worrying. Button feel is spot on too: nice, responsive and clicky. My main complaint (and it’s always the same with silicone) is it’s a dust and lint magnet, and it can be a nightmare to keep clean. The big reason to buy this one is the MagSafe-style ring. It does work with my Samsung magnetic power bank and charger, but I did notice it can slip ever so slightly in certain positions, which is exactly why I do the “angle” test—if it shifts overnight on a stand, you could wake up to a phone that hasn’t charged. Overall though, it’s a really nice official case, especially if you grab it on a good Amazon pre-order deal.
