In this video I’m carrying on with my Samsung S26 Ultra case testing, and I’m taking a proper look at what ESR are calling their toughest option: the ESR Tough Magnetic Case. ESR sent it over in two colours (green and black), so I unbox it, show you what you get in the box (including the stash stand guide and warranty bits), and then I get it on the phone to see if it’s actually as rugged as the marketing makes out. Once it’s fitted, I go through the important stuff: the TPU inner with the hard outer shell, the seriously raised corners, the recessed camera housing, and the port cover that keeps your USB-C completely covered. I also weigh it (it’s about 73g for the case, and the phone ends up just shy of 300g), because weight is usually a good sign you’re getting real protection. Then I test MagSafe with my Samsung charger and the Nomad Base Stand, and the magnetic hold is genuinely strong. I also do the S Pen test—fine with just the case, but with a MagSafe battery attached you’ll see the usual little “jump” now and again. Overall, it’s easily one of the best rugged cases you can buy right now for the S26 Ultra.
