What's going on everyone—Paul here. In this video I’m taking a proper look at the Ridge Carbon case for the iPhone Air, because after using the Ridge carbon case on my 16 Pro Max and then loving it on my 17 Pro Max, it only felt right to grab it for the Air as well. I run through the unboxing (Ridge always nail the presentation), the materials and features—1500D aramid fibres, shock absorbing TPU, anodised aluminium buttons, raised camera lip, and full MagSafe/Qi wireless charging compatibility. I also address the obvious question: “What’s the point of buying an Air and putting a case on it?” For me, I’m outside all day working out of the van, and I can’t afford to rock it naked and risk a big repair bill. I weigh it as well (33g for the case, 198g total in the pocket with the phone), check the lip protection around the screen and camera, and test the MagSafe strength with a battery pack and a stand—spoiler: it’s not coming off. The big takeaway is the price: around £70–£81 is eye-watering, but for me the feel, protection, and peace of mind make it worth it. Whether it’s worth it for you—let me know.
