About This Video

In this video I’m testing the PITAKA Edge case for the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, and the big headline is those new Aramid (Aaron/Aram) Buttons on the side. I’ve been using a couple of PITAKA options lately (including the more “pro” style one with covered sides), but this Edge is all about going as thin and light as possible. It’s aramid fibre in the Moonrise colourway (which I absolutely love), with an anodized aluminium camera housing, cutouts for power/volume, and that little NFC tab on the back that powers the buttons. I weigh it up, fit it to my S26 Ultra, and show you what to expect day-to-day: the phone looks awesome in it, the cameras sit nicely recessed, and you do get wobble on a desk because of the camera bump. There’s also a small lip on the corners, and with my screen protector on, I’m happy putting it face-down without it resting on the protector. Then I run through the Aramid Button setup (you may need to re-do it when you swap cases) and map one button to launch Apple Music—works absolutely perfectly. I also test MagSafe: the Apple-style puck can sit awkwardly, but Samsung’s rounded-edge MagSafe accessory fits properly and the magnets are seriously strong. Finally, I check S Pen performance with MagSafe attached and without—overall it’s fine, with only the occasional tiny skip.
