What’s going on everyone — in this one I’m cracking on with the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra (mine’s in the online exclusive Silver Shadow… but we’ll call it Shady Silver) and it’s time to move on to cases and accessories. First up is the Pitaka Cairn “Moonrise” aramid fibre case with the AARON/AM Button, which is basically an NFC shortcut button system. I go through the unboxing, the finish and build, and all the little details like the anodized aluminium buttons, the microfiber lining, the camera protection, and the fact you’ve got a proper lip around the screen. I also weigh it on the scale (44g for the case, 261g with the phone fitted) and check the button feel — nice and clicky and exactly what you want. Then I show you how easy the AM Button setup is: download the app, pick an app (I used Apple Music), apply it to a button, long-press, and you’re straight in. Finally, I test MagSafe with a power bank and my Nomad Base Stand — the magnetic strength is unreal and it charges with no issues, although the power bank does sit off the back slightly because of the camera area.
