About This Video

In this video I’m carrying on with the iPhone 17 Pro Max content and finally checking out something I’ve wanted to try for ages: the Arc Pulse. You can’t really call it a case because it’s definitely not a case—there’s no protection for the sides, the back, or even the front—but if you’re into minimalism, this is one of the coolest “statement pieces” you can put on your phone. I unbox the matte black version (designed by Arc in the Netherlands), show the two-piece design, and talk through the materials, the rubbery inner lining, and the whole “feel your phone” concept. I fit it to my blue 17 Pro Max, weigh it (16g for the Arc Pulse pieces), and show what protection you actually get: corner coverage, a lip so you can place the phone face down (even with a screen protector), and a recessed camera area so you can set it down without the camera plateau taking the hit. I also test MagSafe fitment—Apple’s MagSafe charger sits perfectly, but slightly larger chargers can ride up on the bottom piece. Bottom line: it’s expensive for what it is, but it looks unbelievable and I’d genuinely rock it for nights out or when the phone’s living on a MagSafe charger.
