What’s going on everyone—Paul here. In this video I’m carrying on with my iPhone 17 Pro Max content and moving on from the TAC matte screen protector I fitted recently, straight into TAC’s super thin cases. I’m taking a look at two options: the Diamond Clear (their crystal clear case with the MagSafe ring) and the Onyx Clear (that smoked/black-tinted look). I show them both out of the box, talk about the feel, and why these are all about that “Think thin” tagline. I also do a quick weight check—24g for the clear case—and then with my 17 Pro Max fitted it came in at 267g, so it stays pretty lightweight. I like that the cameras sit recessed in the housing so you can place it camera-side down, and there’s a lip around the edge that lines up nicely with the matte protector. MagSafe is solid too: I tested with the Apple Battery Pack and my Nomad Base Stand and charging worked with no issues. My only real downside is you’re using your own iPhone buttons (no separate button covers), but if you want a proper thin case to help against scratches, these are a clean option—and personally, I’m leaning Onyx for the aesthetic.
