What’s going on everyone—Paul here. In this video I’m finally getting hands-on with the Caudabe Sheath for the iPhone 17 Pro Max, and I’ve been waiting a long time for these to come in because Caudabe clearly wanted them absolutely perfect. I unbox both colourways they sent over (Celestial Blue and Black), go through the packaging, and then get straight into what matters: fit, finish, protection, and whether it still deserves that legendary reputation. I weigh the case (55g) and then with the phone in it (bang on 300g), and yeah—it’s a bit heavy compared to some minimalist cases, but I’m happy with that if it means proper protection. The camera housing is nicely recessed so the lenses are protected, there’s a solid lip all the way around the front (even with my screen protector on), and the covered buttons feel spot on with great tactile feedback. I also check the camera control cutout and everything lines up absolutely perfect. MagSafe is the big one for me, so I test it with the Apple MagSafe Battery Pack and my Nomad Base Stand. The Sheath basically took it out of my hand—strength is unreal and it doesn’t slip, which is exactly what you want overnight. Bottom line: this is now my new case, and I also show the extra button kit Caudabe sent over for customising the look.
