What’s going on everyone — in this video I’m carrying on with the iPhone 17 Pro Max content and checking out something a bit different: the Aulumu A17 Frosted Case, including the glow-in-the-dark frosted design and those full anodised aluminium buttons. Straight out the box it’s got a premium feel with a bit of weight to it, a stainless/metal section up top, and a really cool “urban tech / future aesthetic” vibe with the functional colouring and those CPU cooling-style holes. I weighed the case at 53g, then slapped it on my 17 Pro Max (deep blue) and the full setup came in at 298g — so yeah, it’s one of the more weightier cases I’ve tested recently. I also tested the important stuff: button feel (nice, clicky, tactile), camera protection (cameras are nicely recessed), and front lip protection (it sits just slightly above my screen protector so you can place it face down). MagSafe is absolutely solid — my Apple MagSafe puck basically tried to take the phone out my hand, and the shake test was a “Jesus, that ain’t coming off” moment. I also explained why I do my MagSafe stand test: if it slides overnight, you wake up with no charge. To finish off, I took a quick look at the Aulumu G05 Air magnetic stand/grip tool (yes, it’s got a little ceramic box cutter — be careful), and did a quick camera control test which worked straight away.
