In this video I walk through how I’m still using my original Elgato Prompter after about a year, and what I changed to make it work better in a real, everyday creator setup. The big thing for me is stability—out of the box it works, but once you start actually moving your camera rig around, you find the weak points fast. So I show the extra support I added between the Prompter and my tripod setup to reduce flex and keep everything feeling solid when I’m filming. I also show how I got my 40.5mm kit lens to play nice with the Prompter using a step-up ring, because the little compatibility details are what slow people down. And then I go into the workflow side: using the Elgato Stream Deck+ to make the Prompter feel less like “another thing to manage” and more like part of the system.
