About This Video

In part 4 of my Home-Office Network Upgrade, I finally get the new core pieces in place: I install my Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Fiber in the rack and then mount a U7 Pro Wall access point in my home-office. This is the “make it real” phase of the upgrade—getting the router physically prepped for rack mounting, sliding it into the rack cleanly, and making sure everything is positioned the way I want before I start living on the network day-to-day. After the hardware is in, I do a quick real-world sanity check by running an internet speed test from my phone. I’m not trying to turn this into a lab-grade benchmark—this is just a practical check to confirm the setup is up, stable, and doing what it should. If you’re building out a home-office network and you want to see how I approach the physical install, placement, and basic validation of a new gateway + wall AP combo, this video walks through it step-by-step.
