About This Video

In Part 3A of my Home-Office Network Upgrade, I walk through the network rack accessories I’m about to put to work—mostly Ubiquiti gear, plus a few non-Ubiquiti pieces that help make a rack build actually usable day-to-day. This is the “planning and parts” phase where I sanity-check what I’ve got, why I chose it, and how it fits into the bigger upgrade so I’m not stuck redoing cable management (again) later. I also show what I’m calling the near-final rack design for the home office, then pivot into my updated TrueNAS server plans and the rough configuration direction I’m heading in. Finally, I add a satellite rack to extend the build—and yes, there’s a surprise in there—before wrapping up with where the project is going next. As always, none of this is sponsored; I’m just sharing what I’m using and why, so you can copy the ideas, avoid the mistakes, and build with confidence.
