In this video I’m basically walking you through the most surreal pivot in my art career so far—how a single message on June 19th, 2024 from InArt Collectibles turned into a real job opportunity and a free trip to Comic Con. I start with the “bucket list” energy and the drive out, because honestly that part matters: it’s the moment where your hobby brain is still trying to convince you this isn’t real yet. Once I get to the con, I break down how the opportunity actually happened and what I built to make it happen—a diorama project that turned into a legit professional collaboration. I also take time to shout out the people who made the whole thing possible (the teams at Queen Studios and InArt, plus George Sohn at Toynami) because I was a total Comic Con rookie and they made it feel welcoming instead of overwhelming. The big takeaway: keep building, keep putting your work out there, and treat every project like it could be the one that opens a door—because sometimes it literally is.
