Since I’ve cut my hair twice and it’s a very blunt bob right now, I wanted something affordable, quick to get, and easy to throw in when I want that instant “long hair” moment with no commitment. Lashey reached out for a collab and I was excited because these clip-ins are on Amazon, they’re lightweight, and the wefts mimic a scalp which helps everything look more natural. I used two packs in 16 inches (honestly it’s giving a little 18), in 1B with a yaki/kinky-straight texture that blends really well with my hair. I walk you through my step-by-step install: clean horizontal sections, keeping them thin so the clips close flat, placing one close to the nape (but not too high), and snapping each clip right at the root so it sits against the scalp—no bumps. I also share how I place the smaller pieces around the sides/crown to fill gaps and angle the wefts to match the shape of my head for a seamless blend. At the end I give my honest pros and cons: I love the transformation (it took me about 9 minutes), I can take them out at night, and it’s an easy “clip and go” way to save coins. My only real con is color—my hair is jet black, so I should’ve dyed the 1B clip-ins darker to feel 100% comfortable, especially where my bob ends and the extension begins.
