What’s good everybody—this one is my reaction to the official Lilo & Stitch live-action trailer (in theaters May 23). I missed it when it first dropped, but I’ve been looking forward to it, so I had to finally sit down and share the experience with y’all. Going in, the only thing I’d really seen was a quick look at Stitch from an anniversary-type clip, so this was basically my first real watch. In the trailer, we get the setup with the “dangerous experiment” on the run, Stitch causing chaos, and Lilo wishing for a best friend. And I’m not gonna lie—Stitch looks cute and fluffy, and the vibe feels right. We also get Agent Cobra Bubbles on the chase, plus that classic ʻOhana line: “family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.” My big takeaway: this live-action looks like it’s keeping the spirit of the original, and it feels like an easy blueprint for Disney to follow compared to some of the more recent remakes. By the end, I’m sold. I’m already thinking those Stitch stuffed animals in theaters are going to sell out day one.
