It’s been a long, long time since I did a live stream, so I brought my partner in crime Nico through and we brought back the old “Bingeworthy” vibes for Daredevil Season 2, Episode 1: “The Northern Star” (Disney+). We muted through the episode and popped back in during breaks to talk theories, call out the big moments, and chop it up with the FixionFam in the chat. Right out the gate I’m loving the energy—Matt starting in the black suit, the cane/whip work, and that whole “devil’s in the building” feel. Marvel’s still doing that thing where they give you just enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. We also got into the bigger questions: is Foggy really dead or are they gonna pull a classic Marvel and find a way to bring him back? And I’m not gonna lie—seeing people rocking the Punisher logo still bugs me, because I need Frank to handle that. By the end, I’m feeling like this season is setting up something deeper than just Fisk—there’s clearly another play happening in the background. I scored the premiere around a 6/10 (Nico went higher), mostly because it’s a setup episode, but the beginning and ending hits were clean and I’m locked in for where this roller coaster goes next.
