Today I’m taking something properly sentimental—an old watch face my brother bought me 29 years ago—and turning it into a piece of art for my memory shelf. This one isn’t about making something perfect; it’s about making something meaningful. I’m basically giving that little watch a new life, but in my usual whimsical resin + mixed media way… because of course I am. If you’ve ever kept a tiny object for decades and thought, “I can’t throw this away, but what do I actually DO with it?”, this is exactly that kind of project. I talk through the idea, the vibe, and the bits and bobs I’m using (including some handy tape for clean edges and a pendant tray mould that’s great for small framed pieces).
