In this video I finally stop side-eyeing my giant custom skull mould and actually pour Eco Resin into it. The mould itself came from a ridiculous (and amazing) flea market find, and I made the silicone mould from it with help from Teexpert, who very kindly sent over the silicone rubber I needed. The original skull design was carved by Joanna Moran back in 1991, which makes the whole project feel extra special—like I’m collaborating with a bit of art history while I’m elbow-deep in resin. I’m using Aquacast Eco Resin from EliChem and pushing it into “big mould” territory to see what happens: will it cure nicely, will it behave in a deep pour, and will all those details survive the process? I also point you back to the earlier video where I made the mould, because honestly that step is half the battle. This one is very much a “let’s go play” experiment—testing materials, seeing what works, and learning what I’d do differently next time when scaling eco resin up to something properly chunky.
