In this one I’m jumping into the Wood You Resin Collaboration (hosted by Andy @CCUKRESIN, plus Michelle & Don) and making a ceiling hanging that’s basically my whole vibe: wood, UV resin, sea glass, wire, string… and a little bit of chaos. I’ve got driftwood as the base, then I start building up layers with resin elements and mixed media bits so it feels beachy-but-whimsical rather than “perfectly matching home décor.” I also bring in paint skins (because I love using the weird leftovers) and play with placement until it looks like it’s meant to be floating and tinkling in the air. The big takeaway is that you don’t need a complicated mould to make something statement-y—combining textures (raw wood + glossy resin + frosty sea glass) does the heavy lifting. If you’ve been hoarding sea glass or random pretty bits “for a special project,” this is your sign to actually use them. Let’s go play.
