Painting HYDRANGEA flower in watercolor and NEGATIVE PAINTING TECHNIQUE. This video is without voice over and I hope you find it calming and relaxing. If you prefer more silent videos like this pls let me know in comments :) To learn more about this technique, check out my other videos in this playlist where I explain the technique in detail 👇 https://youtu.be/8Ky7O8dBh7c?si=v66srLrSNiAucTdP https://youtu.be/mw_ybyFaqd0?si=PngJW1TKOj0jJP-j Find me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/neginz_art/ Paper: As this technique requires several layers of paint it’s very important to have a 100% cotton watercolor paper. I’m using one from Magnani Italia. It’s fine grain and cold pressed. Keep in mid that each and every layer has to dry completely before adding the next one. Brush: synthetic watercolor round brush Watercolors I’m using are from Daniel Smith, colors Ultramarine Blue, Opera Pink, Cobalt blue violet and some Indanthrone blue for the darkest shadows. Skrim watercolors for metallic details. The trick to this painting is to paint outside of the flowers (the negative space) and make sure to have high contrast to make the painting pop. #watercolor #watercolorpainting #paintingflower #negativepainting
