How to paint a Rose 🌹 Watercolor tutorial 🎨 Painting flowers

In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to paint a delicate watercolor rose inside a heart shape, just in time for Valentine’s Day. This lesson is not only about painting a heart. We’ll focus on important watercolor techniques such as: • Working with red without creating muddy colors • Mixing deeper, richer reds • Building depth by layering from light to dark • Creating smooth, even washes • Strengthening contrast in the center of a rose I’m using Alizarin Crimson as my base red and demonstrate how to deepen it using Payne’s Gray, Ultramarine Blue, Perylene Maroon, and Phthalo Green — without losing vibrancy.
