I’ve been telling y’all to grab Scaler 2, but 2.5 really changed the game if you deal with beat block, you make samples, you want different chord progressions, or you’re trying to expand your music theory without overthinking it. I focus on the two features that made me say “yeah… this is it.” First, I show the new Voice Grouping with Guitar Voicing, and how it instantly makes your chords sound like they’re actually being played on a guitar—not just keyboard chords with strum slapped on. If you’re into sad trap / melodic / emo vibes, this helps your guitar parts feel way more realistic. Second, I break down the new Suggest feature, where Scaler starts recommending chords (tonal or per-scale) so you can step outside your comfort zone and find progressions you probably wouldn’t come up with on your own. Then I show my quick workflow: build a progression, use one-note chord triggering, Capture MIDI, drag it into a real instrument like an Omnisphere piano, and randomize velocities to make it feel human. It’s not magic—you still need an ear—but it’s a major shortcut.
