In this video, I install and test the Pelsee S12 Pro mirror dash cam in my 2014 Ford Fusion, and I walk you through what you actually get for the money in 2026. The whole setup is super straightforward: it clips right over your existing mirror (so you’re not taking up extra windshield space), it includes a 64GB microSD card, and you get a 1080p rear camera plus a GPS module you can add for app features. I also show the ports and wiring, and I like that they include a pry tool so you can tuck the cable cleanly. Once it’s running, I go through the touchscreen controls, brightness, and how it auto-switches back to a normal mirror after about a minute so you can drive like normal. I test the ADAS features like collision warning and blind spot detection, and I show the calibration process (crosshair on the horizon). One important tradeoff: enabling ADAS drops the front camera from 4K down to 1440p. The big takeaway is video quality. I’m honestly extremely impressed—daytime footage is crisp with great color, and at night the STARVIS-style color recording is wild. I even turned my headlights off on an empty road and it stayed full color, and that’s the kind of real-world test that made me consider keeping it installed full-time.
