Happy new year, guys. In this video I’m looking back on 2025 and being straight with you about why I didn’t post much. I’ve been doing YouTube for four years, and this was the least I’ve ever uploaded—on purpose. I had some health stuff going on (some kind of autoimmune thing) that I’m still trying to figure out, and I also got an amazing opportunity with my career, so I focused on living life and putting my energy where it needed to go instead of forcing videos just to post. Even though I didn’t film a ton, 2025 was packed: beach days (my happy place), a ton of mountain biking, buying my dream e-bike, and getting Ashley a new bike after our West Virginia cabin trip. The biggest trip was Florida for a month, finally making it down to Key West, kayaking, and checking off a bucket list item we’ve talked about for years. While we were down there, we bought the van and brought it back—setting up what’s next. Looking ahead to 2026, I’ve got big plans: upgrades to turn this into a legit overland van (comfort, suspension, and more off-road ready), selling my house, and going full-time on the road. I still feel like I didn’t finish what I set out to do with the Tacoma—seeing the West Coast and the national parks—so this van is my second shot to do it right.
